- Unit 1: 192-bed facility, opened in 1994
- Unit 2: 192-bed facility, opened in 2013
Minimum Housing Unit 1 was originally part of the Public Safety Center (SDC-West) as a minimum-security facility. In 2013, after the closure of the Men's Honor Farm on Grayson road and the opening of Unit 2, Units 1 & 2 became its own facility. Unit 2 replaced barracks destroyed in a fire at the Men's Honor Farm in 2010.

Video Visiting
Video Visitation is available at all four facilities. You will need to create an account at JailATM.com. Video visitation accounts are reviewed and must be approved prior to being allowed to visit. Visiting is available when incarcerated persons have access to the tablets or kiosk. Please check with the person you want to visit to ensure the times they will available. Public Video Visits are not scheduled.
In-Person Visiting
Scheduling In-Person Visitation for SDC-West & Minimum Housing Unit (MHU) is through ICS. If you already have an account set up for the phones you can log into your account and register for visitation. If you do not have a phone account set up already, you will need to create an account at https://icsolutions.com/. Accounts are reviewed and must be approved prior to being able to schedule your visitation.
Professional Visitors are encouraged to register and schedule visits.
All public visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
- No Video Visiting on Wednesdays.
- Video Visit week is Saturday through Sunday.
Minimum Housing offers in-person visits conducted through glass.
- Maximum 10 incarcerated persons per visit block
- Each incarcerated person may have up to four visitors at one time
