Quick Facts

  • Unit 1: 192-bed facility, opened in 1994
  • Unit 2: 192-bed facility, opened in 2013

Minimum Housing Unit 1 was originally part of the Public Safety Center (SDC-West) as a minimum-security facility. In 2013, after the closure of the Men's Honor Farm and the opening of Unit 2, Unit 1 became its own facility. Unit 2 replaced barracks destroyed in a fire at the Men's Honor Farm in 2010.

Schedule In-Person visits online via the GTL Visitation Scheduling App. Please note: In-Person visits will be changing to first come, first serve by December 2025.  

Minimum Housing offers visits conducted through glass.

  • Maximum 10 incarcerated persons per visit block
  • Each incarcerated person may have up to four visitors at one time
