Service Procedures

All documents must be accompanied by a letter of instructions, signed and dated by the attorney of record or the plaintiff if there is no attorney. The instructions must include the name of the person to be served and the address where service is to be made. You may give more than 1 address as long as all addresses are within Stanislaus County.  Also please include your email address as we can now notify you when attempts are made, money received, etc...   A wage levy requires an application for earnings withholding order instead of a letter of instructions. The applications are available on our website as well as at our office.

For services we require 2 copies of the document, front and back, for each person to be served. For levies and evictions, we require the original writ of execution, front and back. All documents must be accompanied by the appropriate fee or an order waiving fees signed by a judge.

All fees are per service. Two defendants equal two services even if they are at the same address, therefore, you would be charged for each service.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
